  Is Acid Reflux A Symptom Of Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome? Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome (CVS) is an illness that causes lethargy, nausea, and vomiting. Symptoms occur during “episodes” of CVS. Cyclic vomiting syndrome is also accompanied by pallor, diarrhoea, abdominal discomfort, fever, headaches, sensitivity to light, and fainting. These episodes can hinder the sufferer’s everyday activities and make it difficult to function normally. Attacks of cyclic vomiting syndrome are sometimes triggered by certain factors but mainly occur at random. There are four phases of cyclic vomiting syndrome experienced by patients; inter-episodic phase, prodrome phase, emetic phase, and recovery. Through these phases, the sufferer moves from not feeling symptoms to feeling the episode coming on, suffering from signs and recovering.
